ROUNDTABLE MEMBERSHIP

The People’s Roundtable brings together a diverse range of civil society actors, including student bodies, NGOs, sector-advocacy groups and non-profit organisations. We welcome opportunities to expand our membership to progressive (and non-partisan) civil society organisations based in Trinidad and Tobago that are interested in strengthening participation in national life and contributing to issues of national importance.

• Disabled People’s International, T&T Chapter

Advocacy organisation representing the rights, inclusion and equal participation of persons with disabilities in Trinidad and Tobago.

• The Artists Coalition of T&T

National arts and cultural advocacy body representing the interests of artists, cultural workers and creative-sector organisations.

• Farmers’ Union of T&T

Representing farmers and advocating on issues affecting agriculture, food production, rural livelihoods and agricultural policy.

• The Joint Trade Union Movement (JTUM)

Coordinating body within the trade union movement, bringing unions together around workers’ rights, labour policy and wider social and economic issues.

• Guave Road Farmers’ Association

Community-based farmers’ organisation representing agricultural producers and their interests, including access to land and support for local food production.

• The Single Fathers’ Association of T&T 

Organisation supporting and advocating for fathers raising children, with a particular focus on family welfare and the experiences of single fathers.

• Network of NGOs for the Advancement of Women

National umbrella organisation working to improve the lives of women and families and advance gender equality, with a wide  network of affiliated organisations.

• The Students’ Guild, Cipriani College of Labour & Co-Operative Studies

Student representative body of Cipriani College, promoting student welfare, participation, representation and involvement in decision-making.

• Sou Sou Lands Co-Operative

Non-profit co-operative that has worked for decades to help families gain access to land and home-ownership opportunities.

• The T&T Scrap Iron Dealers’ Association

Representing participants in Trinidad and Tobago’s scrap-metal industry and advocating on licensing, regulation, trade and the development of the sector.

• The All Mansions of Rastafari

Umbrella organisation bringing together Rastafari communities and representing Rastafarian perspectives on religious, cultural and social issues

• Trinidad Youth Council

An independent national youth organisation promoting youth participation, representation and civic engagement.
